Maori heritage: Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Tuwharetoa, Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki, NgaPuhi

Huhenia Paurini is inspired by nature and her Maori culture, the spiral/koru is often depicted in her unique designs, infused with geometry, metaphysical meaning and a love for design. Her mission is to assist in others to heal themselves first and to connect home to their wairua - soul/spiritual essence.

'The beginnings of Sacred Geometry began to weave itself spiritually and intrinsically through a series of Shamanic practices. In 2012, through Lasavia Healing and guided by teacher Leila Lees, I began journeying into the inner worlds, deepening my connection and profound healing that continues to this day and into everything else I come to experience'. - Huhenia

Raised in a rural community, called Hokio and surrounded by a plethora of relatives, marae/sacred place for gatherings and a love for the moana/sea had inspired her to paint, sculpture clay and draw life's experiences. Huhenia pursued her studies in Art graduating in 1994 from Whitireia Polytechnic with a Diploma in Craft/design. Her pottery pieces are held in private collections, and is currently accepting commission pieces.

Huhenia says 'Creating is an absolute gift when you're a child, if we allow our children to be creative in their own right, infinite possibilities await them. Let me assist you on your sacred ordinary journey to Wholeness and to remember your place in Te Ao Marama - The World of Light, where you are the ALL'
